Hesenate:- Press [VFO/MR] to switch to Frequency Mode.
- Press [A/B] to select the A (upper) side.
- Press [BAND] to select 2-meter or 70-cm band.
- Clear RX DCS: press [MENU], go to menu 10, [MENU], go to OFF, [MENU], [EXIT].
- Clear RX CTCSS: press [MENU], go to menu 11, [MENU], go to OFF, [MENU], [EXIT].
- Clear TX DCS: press [MENU], go to menu 12, [MENU], go to OFF, [MENU], [EXIT].
- Clear TX CTCSS: press [MENU], go to menu 13, [MENU], go to OFF, [MENU], [EXIT].
- Disable TDR: press [MENU], go to menu 7, [MENU], go to OFF, [MENU], [EXIT].
- Delete target channel: press [MENU], go to menu 28, [MENU], go to channel, [MENU], [EXIT].
- Enter transmit frequency 146.040 MHz on the number pad.
- Set frequency offset: press [MENU], go to menu 26, [MENU], 000.600, [MENU], [EXIT].
- Set frequency shift: press [MENU], go to menu 25, [MENU], negative (-), [MENU], [EXIT].
- Add TX CTCSS: press [MENU], go to menu 13, [MENU], go to 100.0 Hz, [MENU], [EXIT].
- Enter receive frequency 146.640 MHz on the number pad.
- Assign target channel: press [MENU], go to menu 27, [MENU], go to channel, [MENU], [EXIT].
- Press [*Scan], to activate Reverse Mode and display transmit frequency.
- Assign transmit channel: press [MENU], go to menu 27, [MENU], go to same channel, [MENU], [EXIT].
- Press [*Scan], to exit.
- Press [VFO/MR] to test programming.
After you have programmed and saved the settings, press PTT and announce your call sign. As you do this, you should see the display on the radio shifted down by 600 KHz (to 146.040 MHz). You will also hear the repeater close the frequency after you release PTT. This will be your verification that you programmed the radio correctly and are in range of the repeater.
